1. BARN SPEED LIMIT IS 5MPH.
The speed limit into and out of the barn is 5mph. This includes the entire length of the driveway and within the parking lot.
This is for the safety of our horses and riders and all Riding School participants must adhere to this policy. Whether parents, friends, or riders themselves are driving, we cannot stress enough how strict we are about this policy in an effort to prevent accidents to both horses and riders.
Riders who are minors are NOT allowed to be dropped off for a mounted riding lesson. We will not be able to let minors ride if they do not have a parent or guardian present.
3. Arrival and lesson start times for each level
Our program is broken out into levels for our riders, so as to ensure everyone is matched to appropriate horses and co-riders within a lesson. So as to ensure everyone gets the most out of their scheduled time with us as well as keeping everyone safe outside of their lessons:
Pink
- Lesson Arrival Time: Arrive at your scheduled lesson start time. Your lesson includes tacking up and/or untacking your horse plus time in the saddle.
White & Yellow
- Lesson Arrival Time: Arrive at your scheduled lesson start time. Your lesson includes tacking up and untacking your horse plus time in the saddle.
Red, Blue & Gold
- Lesson Arrival Time: Arrive 15 minutes prior to your lesson start time so that you are able to tack up and be in the saddle at your lesson start time. You will also likely stay up to 15 minutes after your lesson time to untack and return your horse to its stall.
- Blue & Gold: Riders in these levels are required to have hardshell safety vests for jumping.
