Competition Horses

Past Stars

Kismet Farms has produced numerous upper level competition horses (and riders) both nationally and through FEI levels internationally. Take a look at some of our brightest past stars!

Good Knight “Ari”

Selle Francais Sport Horse gelding, 16.0 hh.

sherry-stewertFrom the beginning, Ari has shown serious guts and ambition that everyone wants in an event horse. Proving this potential, Ari has competed in many CCI 3* and a few CCI4*. Ari was Jolie’s top upper-level horse, where they have tackled multiple fours stars and they have competed over seas. Ari will jump anything you point him at, and as we like to joke in the barn, “will jump in spite of you”.

Ari is now happily eventing at the lower levels with the same spirit as he had while he was jumping around Advanced.

Killian O’Connor “Connor”

Irish/Selle Francais Sport Horse, 17.0 hh.

sherry-stewert2Connor came over to us from England as a three year old, a venture between friends Leslie Law, Niki Caine and Tracy Bowman. He actually arrived at the event at Oakridge direct from quarantine as no one was home who could look after him. It was immediately apparent he had immense talent and a temperament to match.

He started his career with a young rider at the barn but when he came up for sale again Tracy bought him back and so his amazing run up to Advanced CCI4* level began. Connor has earned all the cookies he can eat by becoming a superstar. He loves every phase of eventing, but is best at dressage. He was even the highest placed American horse after the first day of competition at Rolex. He loves people because they have the potential of feeding him and he likes the spotlight that being so handsome creates! Someone noticed he had his ears pricked during his entire cross-country run at Rolex, and it was obvious he was doing the math in his head and figured if all those people had just one carrot each.

Connor is now retired, enjoying life as a school horse!

KF Chelada “Tina”

Holsteiner mare, 16.3 hh.

sherry-stewertTina started her eventing career with Jolie in 2015 at the Novice level, winning her first event! Tina competed to the Intermediate level, with her with her serious flash and athletic ability had much success along the way. Being one of the favorites in the barn for her all white muzzle and very sweet personality, don’t be fooled, this girl can really show you some attitude!

Tina is now loving the semi-retired life and has produced some beautiful babies.

KF Escuda “Flo”

Oldenburg mare, 14.3 hh.

14086479_10208844458527797_3952094809684266345_oFlo has a small but mighty personality. Everyone who looks at this little girl falls in love and are even more amazed once they see her movement and form over fences. Jolie started Flo at the Novice level in 2014, where she proved her desire to be an event horse. Going up the levels very well, Flo proved her amazing skills and brain through moving up to the Intermediate level with ease!

Flo is still having fun eventing at the lower levels and having some spectacular babies!

Bally Quinn “Quinn”

OTTB, 16.1 hh.

sherry-stewert1Quinn’s philosophy is “whatever you do in life, have fun doing it!” Words to live by. He came to us from a public trainer friend after a very brief attempt at becoming a race horse. As Quinn gallops only very high and not very out, the only records he would have broken would be that of “how many strides can I put in six furlongs?”

Quinn is a fantastic mover. Even though he has a silly fun-loving temperament, he is always down to business when asked to work. He is on his way to edging out his stablemate Connor as the dressage star. He finds all work easy and interesting, but especially the jumping phases: to Quinn, leaving the ground just makes sense.

After suffering a back injury, Quinn was not longer fit for upper level eventing. Luckily, an adult amateur within the barn fell in love with him and now owns and competes him!
